Information
GaySauna Maastricht is situated in the Limburg hills in the peaceful hamlet of Kelmond. The sauna lies between the historic city of Maastricht on the river Maas and Maastricht-Aachen Airport and, strictly speaking, it falls within the municipality of Beek. Whilst the sauna is not within the city limits of Maastricht it is quite close at only 12 km, and you can find a detailed route description on this website. There is also plenty of free parking space. Because of its very quiet surroundings, privacy and discretion are guaranteed.
GaySauna Maastricht is meant for men who want to enjoy a relaxing day off: for gays, bisexuals or 'open-minded' men. The name GaySauna Maastricht was chosen not only for its clarity and recognition all over the world, but also because of the luxurious ring to it, the radiation of ambiance, the 'cozyness', the Burgundian athmosphere, the feeling of quality: all things that the sauna has in common with the beautiful capital of Limburg.
This spa is the place to escape from everyday stress and strain on a regular basis. A bathrobe can be obtained for a reasonable extra charge. The Finnish sauna is one of the biggest in the Netherlands, and then there is a fascinating colour changing sauna to stimulate the senses. Furthermore there is an intimate Infrared cabin seating eight people. You can deep-clean those pores with hot steam in the spacious Turkish Bath, with its own shower inside. Have a moment of rest at one of the watermattresses or enjoy a thorough massage. On top of the normal hot showers there are ice cold deluges and showers to stimulate the circulation and relaxing warm foot baths. Shampoos are within reach and several grooming products are freely available at the reception desk. Everything has been taken care of!
And then there is the splendid outdoor swimming pool heated to body temperature, open from early spring to late autumn. In summer the beautifully appointed, enclosed garden is the place to be for nude sunbathing on one of the deck chairs. When the weather is not that nice, it is a wonderful sensation to swim in the steaming warm water.
One of the reasons why guests come here regularly is the cozy athmosphere. Its very convivial to sit at the bar in a bath robe enjoying a drink after a hot sauna or steam, and to chat with one of the employees or other visitors. You can enjoy a nicely tapped beer, or one of the special beers, a creamy cappucino, a cool ice-tea, juice or an energy-drink. Of course you can also relax in the lounge area under the original solid oak beams, where deep comfortable sofa's invite you to unwind and be extremely lazy! There are plenty of magazines to read, or you can take a nap: as the Dutch say 'everything is allowed, nothing is obligatory'.
For those who don't want to miss their favourite TV show, there is a cosy TV corner, and for people that want a little bit more privacy there is an extra special resting area right under the rafters.
During your stay your refreshments and other expences are placed on your personal account. That way you only have to pay once, when leaving. Please keep in mind that we do not have the facilities to accept credit cards or foreign PIN cards.

Route description
Coming from the direction Eindhoven-Roermond you follow the A2 direction Maastricht until the junction with the A76. From here you follow the A76 in the direction Heerlen-Aken and you take the exit Beek-Geleen. At the end of the exit you go right in the direction of Beek. Continue at 'from the centre of Beek'.
Coming from the direction Aken-Heerlen you follow the A76 direction Maasmechelen-Genk and you take the exit Beek-Geleen. At the end of the exit you go left in the direction of Beek. Continue at 'from the centre of Beek'.
Coming from the direction Liθge-Maastricht you follow the A2 direction Eindhoven and you take the exit Beek.At the end of the exit you go right in the direction of Beek. Continue at 'from the centre of Beek'.
Coming from the direction Genk-Maasmechelen you follow the A76 direction Heerlen-Akenand you take the exit Beek-Geleen. At the end of the exit you go right in the direction of Beek. Continue at 'from the centre of Beek'.
From the centre of Beek
From the centre of Beek you follow the blue traffic signs in the direction Schimmert-Valkenburg. You will pass a garden centre on the right hand side and then leave the town limits of Beek. After approximately one kilometer there is a white sign on your right hand side saying "Kelmond", here you turn right. Follow the road to the T-junction and turn LEFT at the little chapel (to the right is KelmonderSTRAAT, not KelmonderHOFWEG!). Follow the curve to the right of the Kelmonderhofweg (please be careful here!): the entrance of the parking lot of the sauna is on your right hand side after approximately 200 meters, right before the Kelmonderhof-Farm.
Public Transport:
Train station Beek/Elsloo. From here you take a taxi to Kelmonderhofweg 51, Kelmond, Beek
